How to Swap Tokens

Swap any token across 15 chains directly from your EventTrader wallet

1 What is the Swap?

The EventTrader Swap lets you trade tokens on any supported chain without leaving the platform. It routes through native DEX protocols (Uniswap, Aerodrome, SushiSwap, and more) to find the best execution price for your trade.

Swap

What You Need

An EventTrader account with tokens in your swarm wallet. Deposit funds via the Fund button on your Account page, then swap to any token on any supported chain.

2 Supported Chains

Swap supports 15 EVM-compatible chains. Select any chain using the pills at the top of the swap page.

Ethereum ETH
Base ETH
Arbitrum ETH
Polygon MATIC
Optimism ETH
BSC BNB
Avalanche AVAX
zkSync Era ETH
Linea ETH
Gnosis xDAI
Blast ETH
Scroll ETH
Sonic S
Mantle MNT
Celo CELO

The Long Tail

We support niche chains and tokens because the aggregate of smaller, less-traded pairs is where real opportunity lives. More chains = more tokens = more edge.

3 The Swap Interface

The swap interface is designed for quick, intuitive token exchanges.

[Chain Pills] Ethereum | Base | Arbitrum | Polygon | ...

+------------------------------------------+
YOU SELL
[USDC ▾] 100.00
Balance: 250.00
+------------------------------------------+
                   [⇵] <-- flip
+------------------------------------------+
YOU RECEIVE
[ETH ▾] 0.0412
Balance: 0.15

Rate: 1 USDC = 0.000412 ETH
Platform fee: 0.50 USDC
Network fee: ~$0.12
Min received: 0.0408 ETH

Slippage: [1%] [0.5%] [0.1%] [custom]

 • Chain Pills — Select the blockchain you want to swap on
 • You Sell — Pick the token and enter the amount to sell
 • Flip Button — Reverse the token pair with one click
 • You Receive — Shows the estimated output amount in real time
 • Price Info — Exchange rate, fees, and minimum received after slippage
 • Slippage — Tolerance for price movement during execution
 • Swap Button — Execute the trade on-chain

4 How to Make a Swap

Follow these steps to swap tokens:

 1. Select your chain — Click the chain pill for the network your tokens are on (e.g. Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum)
 2. Choose the token to sell — Click the token button in the "You sell" panel. Search by name, symbol, or paste a contract address
 3. Enter the amount — Type how much you want to sell. Your available balance is shown below the input
 4. Choose the token to receive — Click the token button in the "You receive" panel and pick your target token
 5. Review the quote — Check the exchange rate, fees, and minimum received amount
 6. Adjust slippage if needed — Default is 1%. Use lower for stable pairs, higher for volatile tokens
 7. Click Swap — The trade executes on-chain. You'll see a confirmation with a transaction link

Pro Tip

Use the flip button to quickly reverse your trade direction. If you just swapped USDC for ETH, flip to swap ETH back to USDC.

5 Selecting Tokens

Each chain comes with a curated list of popular tokens. But you can swap any ERC-20 token.

 • Curated tokens — Pre-loaded with popular tokens per chain (ETH, USDC, USDT, DAI, WETH, and chain-specific tokens like ARB, OP, DEGEN)
 • Token search — Type a symbol or name to filter the token list
 • Custom tokens — Paste any ERC-20 contract address (0x...) into the search bar. The token's symbol, name, and decimals are resolved automatically
 • Balance display — Your on-chain balance for each token is shown in the selection modal

Custom Token Resolution

Paste a contract address like 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913 into the search bar. The platform reads the token contract on-chain to get its symbol, name, and decimal precision. Custom tokens are marked with a badge.

6 Fees & Slippage

Every swap includes transparent fee information before you execute.

Fee Type Amount Description
Platform fee 0.5% Deducted from the sell amount before routing
Network (gas) fee Varies Paid to the blockchain for transaction execution
DEX fee Varies Liquidity pool fee set by the protocol (typically 0.3%)

Slippage tolerance controls how much the price can move between quoting and execution. If the price moves more than your tolerance, the transaction reverts and your tokens are returned.

 • 1% — Default. Works well for most trades
 • 0.5% — Tighter. Good for stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps
 • 0.1% — Very tight. May cause reverts on volatile pairs
 • Custom — Set any value from 0.01% to 50%. Use higher values for low-liquidity tokens

High Slippage Warning

Setting slippage above 5% means you accept a potentially worse execution price. Only use high slippage for tokens with very low liquidity.

7 How Routing Works

The swap uses native DEX routers on each chain for optimal execution. Here are the primary protocols used:

Chain Primary DEX
Ethereum Uniswap V3, SushiSwap
Base Aerodrome, Uniswap V3
Arbitrum Uniswap V3, Camelot
Polygon QuickSwap V3
Optimism Velodrome V2
BSC PancakeSwap V3
Avalanche Trader Joe V2
zkSync Era SyncSwap
Others Chain-native protocols (Lynex, Thruster, Skydrome, etc.)

The router tries direct paths first, then multi-hop routes through common intermediary tokens (like WETH) to find the best price. If on-chain routing is unavailable, it falls back to aggregator APIs for optimal discovery across multiple liquidity sources.

Smart Path Finding

You don't need to worry about finding the right DEX or route. The swap automatically discovers the best execution path for your token pair on the selected chain.

8 Swap History

Every swap is recorded on-chain and in your account history. You can view your recent swaps directly below the swap interface.

 • Time — When the swap was executed
 • Details — Sell amount and token, buy amount and token
 • Status — Success or failed indicator
 • Transaction link — Click to verify on Etherscan

100% On-Chain

Every swap produces a real transaction hash verifiable on the blockchain explorer. No simulations, no mock data — real trades, real tokens.

9 Frequently Asked Questions

What tokens can I swap?

Any ERC-20 token on any of the 15 supported chains. Each chain has curated popular tokens, plus you can paste any contract address to swap custom tokens.

Where do my swapped tokens go?

Swapped tokens land in your swarm wallet on the selected chain. You can view your balances on the Account page or in the swap interface.

What is the platform fee?

0.5% of the sell amount. This is deducted before routing, so the quoted output already reflects the fee. Gas (network) fees are separate and vary by chain.

My swap reverted. What happened?

Reverts typically happen when the price moves beyond your slippage tolerance during execution. Try increasing your slippage or reducing the trade size. Your tokens are returned on revert.

Can I swap between different chains?

Each swap executes on a single chain. To move tokens between chains, use the bridge or deposit/withdraw flow. The swap is for exchanging tokens within the same chain.

Why is there no quote for my token pair?

Some token pairs may not have sufficient liquidity on the selected chain's DEXs. Try swapping through an intermediary token (e.g. sell Token A for WETH, then WETH for Token B).

How long does a swap take?

Swaps confirm in the same time as a regular transaction on the selected chain. Base and L2s typically confirm in 1-3 seconds. Ethereum mainnet may take 15-30 seconds.

Do I need ETH/gas to swap?

Yes. You need a small amount of the chain's native token (ETH on Base/Ethereum/Arbitrum, MATIC on Polygon, BNB on BSC, etc.) to pay for gas. The estimated gas cost is shown in the price info before you swap.
