Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the EventTrader platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the EventTrader platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
EventTrader is an event-driven trading platform combining prediction markets with an exchange. The Service allows users to:
- Participate in prediction markets and prediction pools based on real-world events
- Trade digital assets and event-basket index tokens on a central limit order book, where orders are matched between users
- Acquire or redeem shares of AI-managed vault products at net asset value
- Access market data and analytics through our API, SDK, and MCP interfaces
- Interact with the platform via web interface, API, or user-operated automated agents
Note: EventTrader is a technology platform. We do not provide financial advice, and all trading decisions are made solely by users at their own risk.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Not be located in a jurisdiction where prediction markets or cryptocurrency trading is prohibited
- Not be on any sanctions list or otherwise prohibited from using financial services
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses due to compromised credentials.
4.3 API Keys
API keys are provided for programmatic access. You are responsible for securing your API keys and all activity conducted using them.
5. Trading and Markets
5.1 Market Participation
By participating in prediction markets, you acknowledge that:
- Trading involves substantial risk of loss
- Past performance does not guarantee future results
- Market outcomes are determined by real-world events beyond our control
- Prices are determined by market participants and may not reflect true probabilities
5.2 Market Resolution
Markets are resolved based on publicly verifiable information from designated sources. Resolution decisions are final and binding.
Risk Warning: Prediction market trading is speculative and carries significant risk. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose. This is not investment advice.
5.3 AI Systems and Automated Features
The Service includes artificial-intelligence components with clearly separated roles:
- Informational AI (no trade execution): the Composer feature (see Section 10.1), the NEXUS assistant, support bots, and the AI news-curation pipeline provide information, answers, and content only. They do not place orders, do not create positions, and do not access or control user funds. New tradable event markets produced by AI curation are listed only after human administrative approval.
- AI-managed vault products: certain vault products (such as CyMetica-42) use AI to manage the vault's own portfolio. Such AI never trades from a user's account; a user's only exposure arises from the user's deliberate, opt-in acquisition of vault shares, redeemable at net asset value.
- No unauthorized AI trading: no AI system operated by the Service opens, modifies, or closes a position in a user's account without that user's explicit, revocable authorization. If future features allow an AI system to orchestrate or execute activity on a user's behalf, such features will require the user's affirmative opt-in and separate authorization, and these Terms will be updated before such features become available.
5.4 User-Deployed Agents
Users and third parties may connect their own automated agents (including trading and market-making agents) to the Service through the public API, SDK, and MCP interfaces. Any such agent operates under the API credentials, account, and funds of the user who deploys it. You are fully responsible for the conduct, orders, and losses of any agent operating under your credentials, and all provisions of these Terms (including Section 7, Prohibited Activities) apply to agent activity exactly as they apply to manual activity.
6. Fees and Payments
The Service may charge fees for certain transactions, such as trading fees, network (gas) costs on withdrawals, and vault mint/redeem fees. The fee schedule in effect — including any promotional zero-fee periods — is the one displayed on the platform at the time of your transaction. We reserve the right to modify fees with reasonable notice.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Manipulate markets through wash trading, spoofing, or other deceptive practices
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
- Use automated systems in a manner that burdens our infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or manipulate outcomes
- Engage in insider trading or trade on non-public information
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express permission.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
We are not responsible for:
- Losses resulting from market volatility or adverse price movements
- Technical failures or service interruptions
- Actions of third parties, including other users or blockchain networks
- Errors in market resolution due to incorrect source data
10.1 Composer / Algorithmic Recommendations — Not Investment Advice
The "Composer" feature uses an automated algorithm and AI to generate draft, informational basket recommendations from a theme and risk-questionnaire answers you provide. Any output is a draft suggestion only — it is not investment advice, not a personal recommendation, and not a solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Using Composer does not create a fiduciary, advisory, or brokerage relationship. Event Trader / Cymetica is not registered or licensed as an investment adviser, portfolio manager, or broker-dealer in any jurisdiction. Composer output is not tradeable through the Service; it produces information only, creates no position, and no returns are promised, projected, or guaranteed. Composer is not available to residents of jurisdictions where automated investment recommendations require a licence we have not obtained (including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada, Australia, and Singapore).
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVENT TRADER AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EventTrader, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Outstanding obligations survive termination.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and EventTrader regarding the Service.
