Status update (1/2) — the Team Assembly Terminal is live at /arena/team-assembly and this request is moving out of Building into Reviewing. Checked line by line against instructions.md. Already built and verified live: NEXUS chat pin (§3), headline bar + epoch countdown + tabs (§4), formation with coach + 4 players and BLUE/RED (§5.1), roster tabs (§5.2), working panel with ADD TO TEAM (§5.3), manual/AI toggle with markets, periods, capital (§6.1–6.2), result card with sparkline (§6.4), help popover (§6.5), My Teams list/detail/edit/delete (§7.1–7.2), deploy to the arena roster (§7.4), bot/skill/algo Intel panel (§8). FIXED TODAY: • Backtests were not real. The page called an endpoint that did not know the request and silently fell back to numbers computed in the browser from leaderboard win rates. Every backtest, team backtest and NEXUS AI result now runs through the platform's existing paper-trading backtest engine on the server (§6, §7.3, §10). No mock data anywhere; if the engine cannot run, the card says NO RESULT with the reason instead of a number. • VAIX balance always read 0 because the page fetched a route that does not exist. It now reads your spendable VAIX; a NEXUS AI run charges iterations × 5 VAIX before it runs, is refused if you do not have enough, and is refunded if the engine fails (§6.3, §13 steps 4–6). • NEXUS AI mode hides the roster/working panel until a result exists, then fills the working panel with the winning bot and shows the winner banner with the real annualized return; if nothing meets your minimum APY the banner says so (§13).

Status update (2/2) — continued. • Drag & drop is now the spec's pointer-driven drag: a ghost follows the cursor, only compatible targets light up, dropping anywhere else cancels (§12). • The three panels are resizable with drag handles; side panels have min/max widths, the center fills the rest, and your widths are remembered (§12). • Selecting a saved team fills the Intel panel: roster with win rates, blended historical curve, win rate / Sharpe / avg return / max DD, and the last team backtest (§8 saved-team example). • Deploy reports which mode the platform's Live/Paper switch put the team in (§7.4). • Unauthenticated visitors are redirected to login server-side (§2). KNOWN LIMITS (stated, not hidden): • Prediction Markets and WTA checkboxes are accepted but not replayed yet — the candle engine replays crypto and stocks; the result card lists them as "not replayed". Epoch replay for those two is the next piece of work. • Bots whose strategy uses ML-confidence rules are reported as "not replayed" because the engine has no trained model to evaluate them. • NEXUS AI ranks bot strategies (the dimension the engine can measure). It does not invent a skill/algo pairing — your selected skills and algos stay as you set them.
